A tribute to the old steppe peoples.

A dethroned goddess-turned-horse gives birth to three superpowered sons who set out to save three princesses from three ancient dragons and reclaim their parents lost kingdom from the underworld.

Based on the work of László Arany and ancient Hunnic and Avaric legends, Feherlofia also know as Son of the White Mare is a experimental, psychedelic full-feature, pop-art/folk-art fairy-tale. According to it, in the myth of the three brothers, a three-membered vertical structure of the world is modeled, including the upper world (sky, sun), the lower world (terrestrial and water depth) and mountains as the middle, connecting their element. Also inherent the motive of the struggle between rival brothers and the murder of the winner, the younger. Beneath the movie’s surreal imagery, there are many hidden indirect references.

Director: Simon Pummell
Producer: Janine Marmot
Genre: Documentary / Avant-garde / Independent Film
Country: United Kingdom
Language: English / None

The process of human life and the human condition, from birth through to death, without dialogue, but set to a soft music score.

Bodysong uses a collage of images to present a portrait of life from the moment the sperm pierces the egg until death. Home movies, famous film images, and other sources have been tapped to supply the materials. The film attempts to embrace the entire spectrum of human existence by including pictures of disease, violence, decay… accumulated archive footage of ritual celebration and the carnage of war. The film includes a soundtrack recorded by Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead.

Director: Mitch Schultz
Producer: Rick Strassman, Mitch Schultz
Genre: Documentary / Independent Movie
Country: United States
Language: English / EN / DE / ES / PT / RO / RU subtitles

A sort of psychedelic Koyaanisqatsi meets
What the *Bleep* do We Know…?

This documentary investigates dimethyltryptamine (DMT), an endogenous psychoactive compound, which exists in humans and numerous species of plants and animals. Tracing Dr. Rick Strassman’s government-sanctioned, human DMT research and its many trials, tribulations, and inconceivable realizations. A closer examination of DMT’s effects through the lens of two traditionally opposed concepts, science and spirituality, The Spirit Molecule explores the connections between cutting-edge neuroscience, quantum physics and human spirituality. Strassman’s research, and the experiences of the human test subjects before, during, and after the intense clinical trials, raises many intriguing questions. Framing the story are stylized scenes reminiscent of the “Twilight Zone” bookends, featuring comedian Joe Rogan as your tour guide, helping navigate the expansive realms of the DMT universe.

Filmed in Portland, Oregon, What the Bleep Do We Know presents a viewpoint of the physical universe and human life within it, with connections to neuroscience and quantum physics. Some ideas discussed in the film are:

  • The universe is best seen as constructed from thought (or ideas) rather than from substance.
  • “Empty space” is not empty.
  • Matter is not solid. Electrons pop in and out of existence and it is unknown where they disappear to.
  • Beliefs about who one is and what is real are a direct cause of oneself and of one’s own realities.
  • Peptides manufactured in the brain can cause a bodily reaction to emotion.

In the narrative segments of the movie, Marlee Matlin portrays Amanda, a photographer who plays the role of everywoman as she experiences her life from startlingly new and different perspectives.

In the documentary segments of the film, interviewees discuss the roots and meaning of Amanda’s experiences. The comments focus primarily on a single theme: We create our own reality. The director, William Arntz, has described What the Bleep as a movie for the “metaphysical left”.
