Fascination of sound and nature.
A unique combination of music, visuals and brilliant imagination of language and poetry. Excellent for relaxing moments, the visuals are created under the meditative music of semi-classical compositions and magical ethnic vocals on the basis of Fascinating Nature trilogy by Gogol Lobmayr. All coming together to make a dreamlike atmosphere – one great big piece of art.

Loneliness and the relationship between man and nature.
A alma do osso is an experimental documentary about Domingos Albino Ferreira (also known as Dominguinhos da Pedra), a 71-year-old man who has lived alone for 41 years in caves in the countryside region of Itambé do Mato Dentro, Minas Gerais (Brazil). He survives on a meagre pension from the Brazilian government.
It starts with an epigraph by Guimarães Rosa: ‘Loneliness is too much for ourselves’. There are no dialogues or interviews in this documentary, and almost no speech. Practically all the information we receive comes from the images and sounds that characterize the countryside: beautiful landscapes of green hills and the sea, the man’s cave and the sounds of nature.

aloneness is concerned with oneself.

The Universe as a place of mystery and wonder.
Lord Martin Rees is an astrophysicist who paints a fascinating picture of how we might be changed by what we do not yet know. These programs focus on: Was there a beginning? Whether we are alone? What’s the future of the cosmos? What is the nature of reality? With each advance, new questions come into sharper focus. The key issue is what we still don’t know.
Astronomer Royal Martin Rees turns his attention to the structure of the universe, examining the perceived building blocks of life – atoms. However, he suggests they only actually account for five per cent of the mass of the universe, prompting a discussion with leading luminaries in the field, such as Professor Steven Weinberg and Professor Max Tegmark, about what makes up the remainder, often referred to as dark matter.
